Georgia's EMC’s are deeply saddened by the passing of United States Representative David Scott. Rep. Scott was a steadfast supporter of Georgia’s EMCs during his time in Congress, championing programs such as the Rural Utility Service (RUS), and also serving as the first African American Chairman of the House Agriculture Committee. We’re sharing this 2022 profile from NRECA's RE Magazine as a tribute that outlines his longtime support of EMCs throughout our state. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and loved ones at this time.
