Ansli Hennings fell in love with Spanish as soon as she began studying it back in middle school. Recently the Emory student discovered another love: Argentina! 🇦🇷 🌎

"Living in Buenos Aires this past month completely shifted my perspective. Being immersed in a culture so different from my everyday life in the United States allowed me to grow not only academically, but personally. From long dinners and merienda with my host family, to everyday conversations with my host mom, I experienced Argentine culture in the most authentic way possible."

A double major in Spanish and Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology, Hennings saw Emory's Argentine Studies program as an opportunity to explore health and medicine while at the same time strengthening her language skills. Henning says she left Argentina with stronger Spanish skills, a new perspective, and experiences that will help her better connect with and care for her future patients.

For a group from Emory's Department of Political Science, summer classes on European politics took on a whole new meaning as they studied on site. 🌍 🎒📚

For the past 6 weeks, 25 undergraduates, two PhD candidates, and two department faculty have been traveling while taking POLS 385: European Security and POLS 385: Democracy in Europe.

Based in Berlin 🇩🇪 for four weeks, the group spent the remainder of their time traveling throughout Europe to Prague 🇨🇿, Warsaw 🇵🇱, Tallin 🇪🇪, and Stockholm 🇸🇪.

Thirteen recent graduates of Emory College of Arts and Sciences Emory College and one current doctoral candidate at the Emory Laney Graduate School are the the university's most recent recipients of grants through the highly competitive The Fulbright Program.

Emory is among the nation’s top producers of grant recipients through the U.S. Fulbright Student Program, the government’s flagship international exchange initiative. More than 200 Emory students and alumni have received Fulbright awards.
