ADOPTED! When a breeder transitioned from raising dogs to dairy cows, AGA stepped in to find new homes for all their dogs, including sweet Lilly. At 3 years old, Lilly had just weaned her last litter and was ready to enjoy life as a family companion. Her foster described her as gentle, loving, and kind to everyone she meets. At the Meet and Match event, her new family met Lilly and instantly fell in love. Even her foster knew they were the perfect match! Now, Lilly is thriving with two parents who work from home, a fenced yard to explore with her furry best friend, and plenty of cuddles with her favorite humans.

ADOPTED! Critter pup found himself at a shelter with his brother and even though they are not pure goldens, AGA would never leave two babies behind! Critter is a sweet, happy, playful boy and has never met a stranger. When his new family met him, it was "game over" said their mom Cilie. There is no way they weren't going to adopt him! The two teenage girls scooped him up and have been spoiling him ever since! Critter has a big backyard to play in and lots of people to take him for walks! He is going to be the happiest boy on the block.

ADOPTED! Julian and his brother and sister came to AGA with their mom when their breeder decided cows were better to raise than puppies! After some medical issues were cleared, these pups were ready for their new homes! Julian was met by his new family and they knew he was exactly what they were looking for! Julian lives with two human brothers who are super excited to play with him as well as a Dog sister and 2 cat siblings. He has a big yard to play in and gets to go on lots of walks with sister Lou. Happy beginnings sweet boy!

ADOPTED! Sweet Bella was headed for a very tragic fate but was fortunate enough to snag a seat on the airplane and fly to the United States. Thankfully, she was rescued from the worst possible scenario and her destiny was forever changed. Bella is a fluffy little girl who is as cute, sweet and outgoing as they come. Our longtime volunteer and many time over previous adopter and her husband saw Bella's photo and instantly knew they had to meet her. Mom had been thinking of finding a playmate for their AGA alum, Oso, who was also fortunate enough to get a seat on the plane and come to America a couple of years ago. Oso was a little lonely and he needed a buddy to pal around with. Oso and Bella became instant friends and, of course, Bella won over her family in no time flat! Bella was home! Bella now has a mom and dad who are home all the time, a Golden brother to play with, multiple daily walks with playtime and an endless supply of toys, plush dog beds and love. Boy did this girl win the lottery!
Congratulations, Bella, you are now living the most amazing life!

ADOPTED: Go Dawgs (woof woof woof). Maggie (formerly Holly1) is now a UGA Bulldog fan, following in the footsteps of her new Mom and Dad, her "grandparents" and cousin Daisy. All are excited about meeting at upcoming home games for UGA, where a family condo will allow Maggie and Daisy to relax and enjoy the game while the adults attend in person. (You may see her sporting her new UGA collar, which she wears proudly). You all may remember her as Holly but it's a family tradition to name dogs after flowers. Maggie is now "Magnolia" named after the flower that was a big part of her parent's wedding and is a great name to live up to especially here in the South. Maggie also gets to hang out with Daisy in St. Simons frequently so she's living a great life.

ADOPTED! Little Ponyboy was surrendered to a rural shelter with a large lesion on his side and head. He has tiny legs and a longer body but is the same color as a golden so naturally, AGA did not hesitate to take him in! Ponyboy didn't let his imperfection dull his spirit, he showed everyone so much love and was a normal happy, healthy puppy! It's truly very difficult not to fall in love with this little guy. After being checked by our wonderful dermatologist, his lesions were deemed non-harmful and were removed. His new family began to foster Ponyboy and saw him through his vet appointments and surgery. Despite initially having a vision of being Golden Retriever owners, they fell in love with Ponyboy and knew he was meant to be theirs. Now named Tony, he enjoys sleeping in the bed with his mom and dad and being the all around cutest boy ever! He loves going on walks and saying hi to every person he sees with a full body wiggle. Tony gets all the attention from his mom works from home and from dad who likes to cuddle on the couch in the evenings. Tony is also a big fan of boat rides and has decided he thinks being the only child of two working parents is a pretty good deal 🙂 He is one loved little boy with a bright future ahead!

ADOPTED! Blue, a handsome, one year old, was surrendered by a breeder who couldn't sell him since he was too shy with people. This sweet boy has grown so much, he is learning to trust people and let his guard down. He still has some more growing to do, but it will be easier in his new home with his wonderful family. They met Blue at the August Meet & Match and adored him. They are previous adopters and very dog savvy. They understand that Blue need consistency, patience, and love. Blue has a mom who is home during the day, an older canine sister, Biscuit and a canine brother, Banks. Blue loves Banks and gets much comfort from his best buddy. Blue also has a human sister that spends lots of time with him. Blue loves to swim and play with toys and his siblings in his big, fenced yard. Welcome home, Blue!
Thank you to all the fosters, staff at Loving Hands, and all the amazing AGA volunteers who helped Blue.

ADOPTED! Goldie and her sister Sadie were lovingly surrendered after their elderly owner found their puppy antics were too much to handle. AGA quickly found that these girls were absolute lovebugs and wanted attention from everyone they met. Her new mom and dad met Goldie at the Meet & Match and liked her disposition with their young son. They wanted to meet her again in a less chaotic environment and after seeing how Goldie completely dodged their son while chasing a ball, they knew she was the one! Now named Birdie, she enjoys cuddling with her new brother, walking with mom and dad and being the spoiled girl that she was meant to be! Birdie and her two legged sibling have quickly become best friends and will continue to grow up together!

ADOPTED! Nash made a long journey to find his forever home in the US! This sweet boy hopped a plane in China and made his way to Atlanta. His new family met him at the August Meet & Match and were really interested in him. Of course, they needed to discuss it with their other AGA dog, Mickey but ultimately they all decided that Nash (now Gus) was the perfect addition to their family. After meeting Gus, Mickey was sold on his new brother and the adoption was on. Mickey and Gus have become best friends and love playing together in their beautiful fenced yard. The family's teenage daughters now each have a dog to love on and they couldn't be happier. And sweet Gus couldn't be happier with all the humans to love on him, plus his new bestie to chase balls with. Many thanks to all who helped this sweet boy find his way across the ocean and on to the perfect home for him.
