Happy Ose IFA to everyone across the globe 🌎

I share this picture of me as a baby because it’s powerful to me. I was born with my life ODU which I don’t go around broadcasting to everyone and I was given the name Tyesha Ward on my birth certificate but after leaving the grove for my IFA initiation I came back as Ifakemi Tifase. I share this picture because while I appear as a 43 year old woman in my physical I am just a little baby in IFA. While I have read many books and taken many classes over my 3 year journey of IFA I still have soooo much to learn. On this Ose IFA day it is my prayer that every new IFA initiate take a pause from focusing on the performance of the initiation and give more time to what takes place after the initiation because that is where our true journey begins.

As a new Awo I have decided to dedicate my time to extensive Omo Awo training. I have also dedicated time to truly studying and understanding my IFA ODU in its fullness. My goal for initiation was never to say I did it and acquire a bunch of god children. It was for me to find out my destiny and work daily to fulfill it. Whenever Olodumare sees fit for me to lead others that’s when I will move not prematurely. I’m always open to share the books and knowledge that I have gained on my journey (some things are specific for initiates), but I’m not equipped to throw opele nor offer Ebos for anyone. I’m always happy to refer you to reputable elders that you and your Ori would have to decide on.

On this Ose IFA Day I truly give thanks to Olodumare for sending me to earth with a good Ori. One that always shifts and move me away from people and things when necessary for my protection and always placing me in the right space and in front of the right people to aid in my IFA growth. I encourage you to keep praying and keep giving your offering Olodumare, your Ancestors and the Orisas are listening and they will always respond at the right time.
