Just sent our second wave of canvassers out for the day to talk to voters about the issues that matter most to you!
And as we wind down this campaign, as a moment of personal privilege I'd like to express how deeply proud of and grateful I am to this passionate, hard-working, committed, diverse, and inspiring group of young people who believe we are , and who embody that ethos every day.
Thanks y'all. We couldn't do it without you.

Representative Taylor Bennett has been working across the aisle to deliver results for District 80!
Promoting Transit, Reducing Traffic
Taylor is a strong supporter of public transit, and just this year supported legislation to allow metro Atlanta area voters in Fulton and DeKalb counties the choice to invest further in MARTA expansion. Taylor has also worked tirelessly to bring local, state, and county officials and agencies together to develop and pursue creative and cost-effective solutions to reduce congestion and traffic and encourage sustainable development in our communities.
Better Government, Lower Taxes
Taylor co-sponsored legislation that would fight corruption and reform DeKalb County government by eliminating the CEO position. He has also co-sponsored legislation to double the DeKalb homestead exemption and provide property tax relief to thousands of senior citizens. Taylor looks forward to continuing to make sure that your tax dollars are put to the best possible use, and that you never pay more taxes than your fair share.
Ending the R**e Kit Backlog
Taylor proudly co-sponsored the landmark ‘R**e Kit Bill’, as it came to be called in the press, which sought to ensure that r**e kits throughout the state will be tested promptly and efficiently, and not be allowed to sit on hospital shelves while sexual predators remain free. His bipartisan bill was signed into law by Governor Deal on April 26. Because of this legislation, nearly 3,500 previously untested kits have already been submitted for testing.
Opposing Discrimination
Taylor voted against -and voiced his strong opposition to- the dangerous Campus Carry and anti-LGBT bills that were passed by the General Assembly and vetoed by Gov. Deal. Taylor joined with the Chamber of Commerce and Board of Regents to oppose those bills and he commends Gov. Deal for his courageous vetoes on behalf of our state, our students, and our economy.
