Often I find myself deeply connecting and resonating with the stories of people in my workshops. Kysha was one of the folks that made my heart zing the first workshop she came to, and then she came back twice more! When I got this email from her after one our times together, I danced around the room.
“Thank you for creating a safe space for us to step forward, and practice displaying our gently cloaked (not quite raw) humanity in tender community. You’ve encouraged us to stretch and to seek the pivotal shift, the change, in our stories. From victim to victor, harmed to heroic owner of our tales, I am now on a quest to see the deeper me in my story. Where the question use to be, “Why was that done to me?” - to now going further along the path towards the intersection of “how has That changed me?” That, has clearly become an identifiable character in my life, That, capital T.”

Taking my Storytelling to a new place with a new collaborator, the dreamy
We're making Teapot, the movie!!
It's intense, y'all. I'm having to learn a whole new style of acting. Acting for screen is more intimate and vulnerable than when you're in stage mode with big gestures and trying to engage a hundred people all at once. I like it, but it's a new muscle to build.
Imminently grateful for the opportunity to work with this incredibly gifted and accomplished and visionary human who is midwifing this performance from me.

Today is . Yes, it's also the Vernal Equinox too. But, on this day, I'm thinking about the power of storytelling, for good and for bad. Storytelling is being weaponized in a lot of ways. We must become like Jedis, using the force for good. I invite you to reconnect with the StoryMuse mission if there's a way I might be in service to you, your team, your mission, your community, and serving your vision for the future...
StoryMuse offers storytelling techniques as a tool for personal discernment, team building, advocacy, and community development in effort to cultivate a world where all stories are heard and honored.
