OH my god. These so-called "advocates for the devil" make me tired. #1: lemme fix it for you: noncommittal as***le; the devil is smarter than you and doesn't need an advocate.

Yes, in my grandparents' time women married young. They also didn't make it to high school and for damn sure they didn't continue their education after they got married.

Also, no electricity or indoor plumbing. You can take that, too, advocates.

Folks yammering about age of consent laws and puberty need to just stop. Age of consent laws gained steam in the late 19th century due to prostitution; many people felt that you probably should be around 16 or so before somebody could trick you out for a few dollars.

Is it a perfect system? By no means. But right now all of these "But what-ifs?" are straw men, red herrings, and a general pain in my ass.
