Long Heartfelt Post:
Every week, I see another post about a missing young girl. Another picture. Another family searching. And honestly… it’s becoming too common. Something has to change.
In my research i found these stats:
Over 500,000 children are reported missing in the U.S. each year, and about 91% are classified as runaways.
Nearly two-thirds of runaway youth are girls, and many are approached by traffickers within 48 hours.
This tells me something clearly: our daughters still need us.
I celebrate those who are already working and building programs in our communities. Your efforts matter. And at the same time, there is still room for more. One program may reach one part of the whole person, while another may provide what is still missing.
We shouldn’t be afraid of what others bring to the table. Community work becomes exhausting when the response to new efforts is resistance instead of support. The reality is simple—no one person or program can do everything alone.
Some plant. Some water. But God gives the increase.
So I’m asking:
Who is willing to partner?
Who already has a program but WANTS volunteers or support?
Who's ready to sit at a table and talk about the issue?
