Peach State Pro Tour

Denny Lucas scorched the demanding Echelon layout with rounds of 68 and 66 to finish at ten under par and capture the Hopkins Golf Peach State Pro Tour's Echelon Classic sponsored by Wild Wing Cafe of Alpharetta.
It was a long, hot day as the players had to endure a 36 hole event in one day due to inclement weather. The victory for Lucas, his third on the Peach State Pro Tour, capped a great week for Denny. He also qualified for the sectionals of the U.S. Open. Wade Binfield and Chip Deason tied for second at eight under par. Deason closed with a 69 in the second round, Binfield with a 67. Brett Munson and Jay McLuen round out the top five a seven under par, three behind Lucas. McLuen and Binfield also qualified for the U.S. Open sectionals...The Hopkins Peach State Pro Tour would like to wish all of our members who qualified the best of luck in next week sectional qualifiers.

The tour travels to Bradshaw Farm in Woodstock next week for the second leg of the Wild Wing Cafe Alpharetta Series. Tournament play begins on Wednesday, May 29th.
