Pray for Felicity
Felicity update- Met with the ortho-oncologist today. Felicity’s tumor takes up 90% of her right tibia. It is one of four things, but her doctor feels that it is NOT malignant!!! After the biopsy tells us what kind of tumor it is, the doctor will move forward with treatment- surgery, draining, etc. She will have to have some sort of bone reconstruction due to the bone loss, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it!! Wednesday is biopsy day.
Felicity update- UAB finally called. Her new doctor is the only ortho-oncologist in the state of AL, so it takes a lot longer than it should. They’re ordering an mri with contrast (luckily we can have it done locally) to see how to move forward. They’re going to schedule the biopsy to find out exactly what cancer we are dealing with the same day as the office visit due to the drive time (1.5 hours).
Back in 2011 I stored June’s cord blood and tissue when she was born because Felicity’s neuro- oncologist told me there was an 85-90% chance she would develop leukemia later on.
Please keep Felicity in your thoughts and prayers, she is stressing out so much.
Unfortunately there are still no updates on Felicity. We’re anxiously awaiting that phone call. Her birthday is Saturday, she will be 19. Praise the Lord, she’s made it such a long way!! Thankfully it’s helping keep her mind off the worry of “what if” with her leg. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. Thank you to everyone for uplifting her and keeping her in your thoughts.
