Larger Than Life Blog Spot

NUGGET: At home from work fighting the worst sinus infection that I have ever had, and I wake up early. I decided to scroll Insta for some morning funny and found the holy spirit instead. As I sit here with tears in my eyes because I am hearing things that I have been ignoring. For days, weeks, months, I have been listening for God and I haven't been able to hear him. Pastor Scott said in a sermon a few years ago that if you can't hear God you need to go back to where you last heard him and figure out why you left him there (paraphrase). Well other than about 2 weeks ago where I heard him briefly and very quietly, I last heard before I left for school, before my dad went home to meet him, two places that I have no desire to return to. Now I know that the message wasn't to return in the physical but to return mentally and with my heart but still, places that I have no desire to return to. Honest moment; as much as I love God and my spiritual walk, I have been absent in the spirit. I have been for focused on just going through the motions. i have been focused on the face of the spirit than actually living in the spirit because I was hurt and angry and think that I made God mad because he showed up this morning. Reel after reel, after reel about how God operates and moves in our lives. Tear filled eyes as I realized that I don't have to go back, I need to move on. I need to pick up my cross and keep it moving. I need to pour into myself and let the overflow spread out to everything else (my cup runneth over). Not because I am pouring into the cup but that I am being filled with the spirit, and I am focused on my life. Lord I am struggling, I am lost, I am hurt, and God is saying I don't need perfect, I need the best that you have right now. I don't need you to pour in the masses, I need you to focus on my and let your overflow touch someone else. "Everyone has a little God in them, and you should speak to that part of them but make sure that they see it in you first" Terrance Howard
God speaks but we have to listen. The bible says seek first the kingdom, well what are you seeking? The applies to all aspects of life. If you chase money, you will never be satisfied. If you chase your dreams, you will be asleep your whole life. Seek joy and fulfillment. Seek peace and watch what happens. Yes, God is everything but I have said it a million times FAITH is an action word. Get busy.

Northside Elementary School fall festival was a blast. Again, time with my Bug and my mini me. Music and laughs are always good for the soul. I really enjoy hanging with these kids. Round 3 tomorrow for my girl Dana Hyde walk down the aisle. Let's get it.

Boy, boy let me tell you. Funny how you can advertise being so friendly, proficient, and the best when you allow patrons to sit in your drive thru for 30 minutes without even a greeting. Who you ask. Sonic, that's who. The audacity of this franchise to make the claims about being a "Favorite" when they can't get locations under control. Another example of how SOME Americans don't want to work but would rather collect a check for no effort at all. Are they all this bad? Probably not but all of the ones closets to us are. Tyrone closed many moons ago and Union City (my home town) is a disgrace to the hospitality industry
Do better Sonic. Hire people that care about food service. Hire managers that manage! We are under staffed is not an excuse. All she wanted was 3 milk shakes. Get a grip.

I have been out of the game for a few. I've had my share if things going on and frankly, I didn't have anything to say. Lol! I'm baaaack!! I have been stockpiling info so I am about to let loose on our little community. From restaurants to spilling the tea on our community. Hang on, this might get bumpy.
