Listening is the most important part of social selling
It’s vital to understand that it's where I identify key topics of conversation and am able to use those details to my advantage as I get in touch with my customers. If you want to do social selling well, you need to listen effectively and it starts with becoming an expert on what your potential customers are interested in, how they talk about product features, and how they talk about their needs. One thing’s for sure - your competition isn’t spending time listening properly and you can gain the competitive edge by putting more effort into this area yourself.

Engaging your customers in conversation
This is a great time for companies to get out there in the field and speak to customers face-to-face or over the phone so that they can find new ways to improve their business. Every company has to start somewhere, but when it comes to personal touch and a human relationship with a brand, it’s hard to beat having an actual conversation at real length about an issue which affects a customer who is using your product directly.

Most buyers have an inherent problem with salespeople
Every salesperson from every company always says that they have the best quality and service etc. But do they really? Even if your competitors all have an acceptable solution and all three of them claim to be the #1 best in the industry, there's still one thing you can do that they cannot: be honest. However, there is always one particular secret ingredient (and we're not talking about sugar or powdered sugar here) that differentiates one cake bakery from another---trustworthiness!
