Have you ever received some news that changed your life forever? That’s been my world this year. When I received the news and I thought about my mortality, tears swelled up in my eyes, and all I could think is breathe Amy, breathe. When my mind started to race, I repeatedly begin to say. Thank you God for I trust you!

As the doctor put her hand on my shoulder to console me, I thanked her and all I could say is in the mighty majestic name of Jesus I am healed from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet.

I felt overwhelmed when I was told I had breast cancer, and the only way I felt peace was by repeating God’s promises in my mind and under my breath. I can’t do this myself. God, I need you.
God has been in the midst of my diagnosis from the first day. God knows his child so well; he made it crystal clear I needed to schedule a doctor’s appointment now! The urgency of the appointment I scheduled turned out fine, but I was told during my visit, I was to get a mammogram as soon as possible. From that moment until now, things have been moving at rapid speed.
I thank God it was caught early as my normal exams are scheduled in September every year. This year was different because of my unexpected doctor’s appointment. I’ll call it God’s favor. The C was found in June.

My test results showed the C was in two areas: my left arm pit and my breast. They said it was three C-nodules but when they operated, they found six: three in my lymph nodes and three in my breast. They removed all twenty lymph nodes from my arm and I had a double mastectomy.

I felt blessed. The surgery was successful and all the C was removed. I want you all to know, I feel good! So grateful for the gift of life God extended to me! He is not through with me yet. I will use my powers for good.

My healing journey is not over yet with 32 days of radiation to start next week. I found out last week I don’t have to take the traditional chemo. What a blessing and soon after I’ll have two new perky girls!

So, whoever takes the time to read this, please remember ---whatever storm you might be up against, the battle is not yours, it’s the Lord’s. If it’s your health, family, money, relationships, your job, your business or morality. Don’t you give up! Don’t you quit, don’t ever stop believing and having faith in the power and the presence of God!

Call on God’s promises! His Word says no weapon formed against you shall prosper. His Word says, I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and hope. Pray and trust even when you don’t see a way.
My sisters of all races and creeds, please pay attention to your bodies! Don’t put those small signs off! We’re so busy taking care of everyone else--- we miss the signs to take care of ourselves!
