The scalene muscle group can cause several referral patterns that cause a number of problems.
I've been treating several new patients very effectively releasing these trigger points in their session.
I am happy to say I've been getting Excellent reports of complete healing without the issue returning. 💪😁🙌
One of them reported after her 2nd session that she was
"so extreme really relieved that the pain and burning sensation in her shoulder was gone."
and that she "did not need to make an appointment for an MRI and a possible surgery!"
She said she just couldn't believe it. Then went on to Thank me numerous times.
That's the best compliment in my opinion. I love my job. ❤

I love it when my patients come into their appointment in excitement. Today I had a patient tell me that she rode her bike in her neighborhood for the first time in 3 years! It's one of her favorite things to do. So happy for her! 😁
We've been working on full body but focusing on legs, abdomen, and shoulders. She's been stretching and drinking more water in between our sessions. She says she's been feeling Amazing! This is why I do what I do. 💞

There are 4 major "slings" of the body we use to support ourselves and allow us to move around properly. These slings are made up of different muscle and fascia ( connective tissue) groups. They cross over the spine to help support one another or else we would waddle around like penguins.
It's extremely important for these slings to be in balance to avoid injury and have proper ROM (range of motion). I've had several patients tell me the after educating them on this topic, and treating the imbalances, they have been able to prevent injuries and are more aware of their core. Do you feel clumsy or are you "accident prone"? This may be because one of your major slings is out of balance. It can be corrected. Please feel free to contact me for any more information.

The SUBSCAPULARIS Muscle.
I have been treating the subscap more often lately, and with excellent results. The subscapularis muscle can cause a combination of problems and/or pain referral patterns. It is one of the main muscles that can cause frozen shoulder and will severely limit ROM.
Since it is located between the rib cage and shoulder blade it is rather difficult to address, but can be done by a highly skilled therapist. The trigger point can be shocking when pressure is applied, but the relief is amazing after pressure is released and the point let's go.
You may have issues with this muscle if you lift heavy, play sports ( especially football or baseball because of excessive throwing), are in the military, construction, sit at a desk for long periods of time on the computer, sleep on your side, etc.
The referral pattern of pain comes from the back of the shoulder down the tricep, into the elbow and forearm, and wraps around the wrist. Who has ever felt pain like this? Stretching will help but to get relief that lasts seek out a trained professional to address the trigger points and areas of muscular dysfunction.
