Health Update: After a colonoscopy this past Monday, I checked in to Northside Hospital in Atlanta on Thursday at noon for surgery to finish removing the “stump” appendix that the VA left behind when they performed what they called an “appendectomy” two years ago, to remove my gall bladder due to a large gallstone, and to seal up the inguinal hernia that developed following the botched appendectomy of two years ago. I was released that same evening and was back home before 11 pm. Sherri fixed something for us to eat, we watched a couple of episodes of “The Newsroom” on HBO (we’re looking forward to its return on 11/9), and went to bed. I was pain free and grateful.
I thank everyone for their ongoing thoughts and prayers as my body continues to do the job that it was designed to do and heals itself. Thank you, thank you, thank you, and know that I declare abundant blessings for you right now.

Haven’t You Found It Yet?
It has been suggested that if I were to post more of my writings here on this Page that more people might be drawn to read what I have to share. That's interesting because that was part of the reason that I created this Page in the first place, to serve as a location where I could store and make available many of my writings for those on FB who might be interested in reading some of the thoughts that I have to share. Prior to that, much of my writings were available through several blogs that I had created.
But storing all of that information on this Page is precisely what I did about 3 ½ years ago. I dumped somewhere in the neighborhood of ¾ of a million words onto this Page. They are available in over 80 Notes. Generally speaking, on the average, each Note is probably about a half hour read. That means that there’s something like 40 hours worth of read time available. And it has been available here for over 3 years. Much of it is the early writings for my first 3 published books and also for my next two or three books that I am working on right now.
To make things easier for the potential reader, a year ago this past month I posted a Note containing a listing of the Titles of all of the Notes stored on this “Page.” Sort of like having a Table of Contents.
So, before I’m going to make any commitment to put anything more on my plate in the way of regular up-to-date postings, I invite you to click on “More” and select “Notes” and see what gems are buried there. For those who feel the need for regular “new” stuff, there are plenty of people already doing a very interesting and credible job of doing precisely that. And if that is what you “need,” then the chances are you are already subscribed to one or more of these folks yourself. But for now, I merely invite you to tweak your curiosity and see what surprises await you.

Facebook says that I'm not posting enough to this page. They want more activity. They seem to overlook that I have 85 documents stored in "notes." That's a lot of text. Actually, I would like to post more here, but what I have to say doesn't always fit well into short sound bites. That kind of writing is not particularly in my nature. But, I'll make an effort. Fasten your seat belt.

Following a successful right hip replacement last July, my wife, Sherri DeTurk, will be having left knee replacement surgery at 9:00 am EST tomorrow morning, February 15, at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA. All positive prayers and thoughts for her well-being during this procedure, and for the successful assistance in this process of Dr. John Henry, and the staff of Northside Hospital, are appreciated. Additionally, prayers and blessings are solicited for her rapid recovery and the help, caring, and assistance of our family and friends. We are consciously thankful for the positive, healthy manifestation of God throughout this entire affair and for your positive energy. Thank you and bless you. Amen.

"Secret Of Vibrational Power"
Ever on the alert for new tools and techniques to help people to more quickly unleash the hidden splendor that is within them, I have created the “‘I Am’ Vibrational Wrist Band.” Its usage is guaranteed to implement positive change in the wearer’s life and affairs. And wearing it also helps to support the work of Practical Truth Ministry. It comes with a short book explaining its usage and how it works. The use of the wrist band is simple, but the effects are powerful.
For those interested in obtaining the “‘I Am’ Vibrational Wrist Band,” and companion book, “Secret of Vibrational Power,” there are three ways to proceed.
Option One: go to Amazon.com, select and purchase the book for only $14.95. Then email a copy of a proof of purchase to [email protected]. Be certain to include your name, mailing address, and phone number. Amazon will ship the book and I will ship the wrist band.
Option Two: go to my eStore https://www.createspace.com/4120710 and follow the steps in Option One. Note: I get a higher royalty when you order from this location vs Amazon itself.
Or, Option Three: deposit $14.95 to the PayPal account of revdeturk. Then send the aforementioned email to [email protected], with your name, mailing address, phone number and the name of your PayPal account. I will then ship the wrist band to you and I will have Amazon ship you the book.
Note: if you choose Options One or Two above, you will also pay shipping. Of course, if you also purchase one of my other books at the Amazon site, the shipping is free. If you choose Option Three, instead, I will pay the shipping.
As Snuffy Smith used to say, “Time’s a’wastin.’” Place that order right now. Let’s join together in remaking the world by remaking ourselves.

Merry Christmas!
As I write that seasonal holiday greeting, I realize that I have never tired of saying those two words, nor have I ceased to be inspired by all that they mean. It’s been over 45 years since I discovered that Christmas is not a day of the year, but rather it is a spiritual experience that is available to us anytime, anywhere.
Although the celebration of Christmas began as a recognition of the birth of Jesus over 2,000 years ago, it has grown over the centuries to include rituals, songs, elaborate decorations, traditional meals, family get-togethers, and all manner of gift giving and declarations for the desire for peace. But underlying all of those outer expressions of the spirit of the season are the beautiful truths and teachings that ultimately sprang from the lips and the life of the little babe born on that Christmas night thousands of years ago. Jesus’ gifts to us transcended the temporary nature of material things by being principles by which all of us may live.
This year, in thinking upon those many gifts that have been given to us by Jesus, I would like to share with you a few that I think stand out at this Christmas season.
Love is perhaps one of the greatest gifts that we can share with one another. The Apostle Paul expounded upon the nature of love and its attributes in the 13th chapter of one of his letters to the people of the church in Corinth. Love reminds us that we are all one. Love is eternal.
Faith is the portal, the process, through which the unmanifest becomes manifest. An important aspect of faith is hope. Hope is our awareness of the good that awaits us through our exercise of the power of faith.
Joy is our celebration of the eternal wonder that is the reality of our existence. It is the explosion of elation and happiness over the awareness of the truth of our being, as revealed by Jesus.
Freedom, in its true nature, is total release from the imagined power of limitation. In an age when we might feel surrounded by the apparent demands of the structures and systems that we have created, the desire for the experience of being free has gained a place of paramount importance. We are truly free when we release our belief that anything outside of ourselves has any power over us. Release and become free.
Peace is the automatic result when we open our minds and hearts to experiencing the aforementioned love, faith, joy, and freedom. So we see that peace is more than a quiet silence. It is also that silence manifesting in our lives and affairs as the vibrant expression of life itself.
My wish for you this Christmas is for a greater awareness of the love, the faith, the joy, the freedom, and the peace that are yours by divine right. I now declare for you that you are love, you are faith, you are joy, you are free, and you are peace. Add to that my desire that the coming year brings abundant blessings into manifestation in your life and affairs. My love, prayers, and best wishes are with you always. Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

In the group “Unity Study Group” ( https://www.facebook.com/ #!/groups/159301360803544/ ) we are now on our tenth week of a discussion of the ideas encompassed in my book “What We Believe That Makes Us Different.” Today’s discussion revolves around the claim that our purpose in this life experience is to express the Christ that indwells each and every one of us. How we go about doing that is the rub. Join us as we share various perspectives upon this challenge.

The ongoing discussion centered around my book, “What We Believe That Makes Us Different,” which is being conducted at “Unity Study Group,” ( https://www.facebook.com/groups/159301360803544/ )continues today with a chapter on our relationship to the Garden of Eden. This chapter claims to know the exact location of the Garden of Eden of Genesis fame. That’s right. After all these millennia with people searching for that ancient Garden, I have discovered it’s whereabouts and I reveal that location in my book and in our discussion of the book. Feel free to join us. You are guaranteed to walk away with something new to think about.
