Some holidays come and go.
Then there are the ones your family talks about for years.
It's the early morning game drive wrapped in blankets.
The excitement of spotting elephants in the distance.
The silence as everyone watches a lion stroll past.
The coffee stop in the middle of the bush where nobody reaches for their phone.
Safari has a way of slowing life down and bringing people back to what matters mostβshared moments, unforgettable wildlife, and memories that stay with you long after you've returned home.
If Africa is on your family's "one day" list, now is the perfect time to start dreaming and planning.
β¨ Save this post so you can come back to it when you're ready to make it happen.
I think a lot of people are waiting for the perfect time.
The perfect budget.
The perfect season.
The perfect moment.
But here's what I've learned...
The perfect time rarely announces itself.
If Africa has been living on your "someday" list for years, maybe today is the day to start dreaming a little louder.
Not because you have to book tomorrow.
But because every unforgettable journey starts with believing it's possible.
π Save this for your someday list.
π¬ What's the one place you've always dreamed of visiting?
I don't really know how to explain Africa to someone who hasn't experienced it yet.
It's not just about the animals.
It's not just about the beautiful lodges.
It's not even the landscapes, although they're unforgettable.
It's a feeling.
A feeling of perspective.
A feeling of wonder.
A feeling of connection to something much bigger than yourself.
I've been fortunate enough to visit incredible places around the world, but Africa found a way to leave a mark that never really faded.
And maybe that's why so many people keep coming back.
π¬ Has a place ever changed you?
I'd love to hear where.
Giraffes deserve more appreciation.
I said what I said. π¦
They're somehow elegant and awkward at the exact same time.
Every time I see one, I spend at least five minutes wondering how this animal actually exists.
And yet somehow...
they're absolutely perfect.
π¬ Tell me your favourite giraffe fact (or just tell me why you love them).
Bonus points if it's something weird.
I've visited some incredible places in Africa, but Kruger will always feel special.
Maybe it's the wildlife.
Maybe it's the history.
Maybe it's the feeling that every drive holds possibility.
That around the next corner could be a lion, an elephant herd, or simply a moment you'll remember forever.
For 100 years, Kruger National Park has inspired generations of travellers, conservationists, and dreamers.
And somehow, it still feels timeless.
π¬ What place keeps calling you back?
There are two kinds of people:
π People who see an elephant and think, "That's cool."
π And people who become emotionally attached to an animal they've known for 14 seconds.
I am definitely the second type. π
Every safari starts the same way:
"I've seen elephants before."
And then five minutes later:
"LOOK AT HIS LITTLE FACE!" π
Please tell me I'm not alone...
