Ozzie On The Move

The amount of people offended by boundaries around a working dog is wild.

A woman asked if her son could pet Ozzie and I said, “No, he’s working right now.” She immediately got upset and told me maybe I shouldn’t bring a dog into public if he “can’t handle a simple interaction.”

But ignoring strangers IS the job. He’s trained to focus on me and my medical needs..... not be a public petting station for random people and their kids.

Just because he’s in public doesn’t mean the public is entitled to access to him.

Why do so many people take “no” to petting a service dog as a personal insult? Smh.
