Attention iPhone users who also own an Apple Watch, iPad, and/or Mac. Have you ever received a text message (green bubbles) not iMessage (blue bubbles), read it on your iPhone, but notice it has not been marked as read on your other device(s)?

There are quite a few "solutions" out there, most of which either don't work or require you to reset-up your device(s). Try this instead:
• On your iPhone: open Settings —> Messages —> Send & Receive
• Under “You Can Receive iMessages To and Reply From”, deselect your phone number. You will be asked to confirm you want to remove the number from iMessage and FaceTime. Tap Remove (you will not lose any messages or experience any other irregularities on any device(s) after this)
• After a few seconds, add the phone number back

Note: this will not clear previously received messages but will work for all future text messages as expected.
