Khalid Lamar Collection – Photography Tip of the Day “Step Back to See More.”
Don’t underestimate the power of a break. Whether you’re editing for hours or deep in a long shoot, stepping away even briefly can reset your eyes, your mind, and your perspective. Fresh eyes catch what tired ones miss. Rest isn’t slacking it’s part of the creative process.

Tell me why we’re out here hanging up more portraits in our homes like we’re building a personal art gallery 😂🎨 But honestly, can you ever have too many perfect shots? I think not. It’s time to make your walls pop with memories and vibes that speak louder than words.

Khalid Lamar Collection - Photography Tip of the Day:
When shooting indoors, sometimes less is more! Using just one light can create dramatic, moody shadows that add depth and character to your photos. If you’re going for a softer, more balanced look, add a second light to fill in shadows and highlight your subject evenly. Play around with both to find the vibe that matches your vision!

Khalid Lamar Collection - Photography Tip of the Day: Choosing the Perfect Backdrop Colors
When selecting backdrop colors for your photos, consider the mood you want to create and how the colors will complement your subject. Here are a few tips:
Match the Mood: Warm colors like reds, oranges, and yellows add energy and vibrance to your images, making them perfect for dynamic and lively shoots. Cool colors like blues and greens bring a calm, relaxed vibe.
Complement Skin Tones: For portraits, neutral tones like beige, gray, or soft pastels often work well with different skin tones, ensuring the focus remains on the subject.
Contrast for Pop: Create contrast between your subject's clothing and the backdrop. A dark backdrop can make light outfits stand out, while lighter backdrops can highlight darker attire.
Keep it Simple: Sometimes, a simple, clean backdrop (like white or black) can bring out the best in your subject and keep the attention on their expressions and style.
Choosing the right backdrop can transform a simple photo into a masterpiece. Experiment with different shades to find what works best for your shoot!

KhalidLamar Photography Tip of the Day
When you're shooting indoors without a backdrop, it’s all about getting creative with your space. Don’t be afraid to use your surroundings to your advantage! Try different angles and play with depth to make the room a part of your shot. Look for interesting textures like brick walls, wooden floors, or even furniture that can add flavor to your photos. Lighting is key, so experiment with softboxes or reflectors to get the shadows just right and bring out the best in your subject. No backdrop? No problem! It’s a chance to blend your subject into the space for a fresh, natural vibe.

Khalid Lamar Collection Photography Tip of the Day: Night Lighting
When shooting at night, lighting is key to creating mood and bringing out the details in your subject. Here’s a tip to make your nighttime shots shine:
Use a combination of ambient light and artificial light sources. Streetlights, neon signs, or lamps can add a natural glow to your photos. Pair these with off-camera flashes or softboxes to fill in shadows and highlight key details without making the shot feel too staged.
A low ISO (around 100-400) and a longer shutter speed (depending on your subject) can also help bring out ambient light without overexposing the shot. Remember, balance is everything!
