Professional animal worker here-(ofcourse, this does not replace Veterinary Care).

For those who can’t afford a vet visit and/or don’t want to use western drugs for your bff.
You can order these from Amazon and all pups love em. They won’t be drugged out but keep them very calm and they’re peanut butter flavored!!

They’re called Heavenly Hounds, with a gold wrapper.1 square for under 30lbs and 2 for over 30. XL Great Danes can have 3-4 depending on their anxiety levels.

***Add in these few ideas and your pup should be calm & safe:

***WALK your dog extra long BEFORE dark and make sure they have have used the bathroom!
***make sure!!! Your dog(&cat) have identification on (collar,ect)

*AND * this is critical!!
LEAVE THEIR COLLAR ANS HARNESS ATTACHED TO THEIR LEAD ON ALL JULY4th!!
YES, ALL NIGHT!

*BONUS * if you tie a few knots in the lead this makes it easier to stop them by stepping on or grab if they try to bolt!

*turn the ac low (cold is calming)
*close all windows curtains/blinds.
*turn on the TV- either Classical music or a movie- with the volume up just a lil more than typical. (No not the end of the world exploding movies!)
*create a cozy area of blankets for your pup and settle in with them for the night.
You might want to be at parties but truly they are your responsibility before a party is so, if you have to close them in a safe room, do so but check on them often for their safety and comfort.
