“This is the first song we're releasing from our upcoming record. The song is called "It Often Rains in Portland, Oregon." This coincides with a premier in the new issue of Relix magazine. I would argue that it's one of our finest, I hope you agree a little bit. You will notice that the goetars are absolutely electröschöckbälls, so be sure to share this song with your dads; we like getting messages from dads about our guitars.

Watts started playing the riff in the Manor one day, I thought *ah!* it reminded me of a picture. I took this pic in my bedroom on Farragut Street in the Aughts, it's the cover. Also, if you're from PDX, as I haven't been for a while, please know I find it fair that in exchange for the title you are more than welcome to use the song as propaganda to scare people away.
