SPC Basketball (High School) Catholic Metro Sports

Thanks to all the Volunteer Head and Assistant coaches we had this season in the SPC Program. It was a great year for the program and it was nice to see we really didn't have any big issues with our teams or program.

Congratulations to the 3 undefeated Division Champions and they will be recognized on the QA morning Show next week.
• SPC3B1-Smith and Loquasto
• SPC4G1-Daley and Showalter
• SPC8G1-Davis and Eatz

Overall it was a pretty good year for the SPC Program, here are some highlights
1. Tied with OLA, JUD, SJN, and IHM with most Division Champions (3)
2. Tied with SJN and IHM for most undefeated Champions (3)
3. Boys Program tied for 6th overall record out of 14 teams
4. Girls Program tied for 5th overall record out of 14 teams
5. Overall Program was tied for 5th overall record with a 77-70 record

Good luck to all the 5th through 8th grade teams in the tournament this weekend and hope to see you playing at Championship Saturday Feb 10th @ Blessed Trinity!

Another great year for the Sam Robb Tournament! Thanks to the Robb Family for organizing a great event for a great cause.

This year SPC entered 5 teams in four divisions and had a team in the championship game in all 4 divisions. Even though the outcome didn’t result in any championship wins the kids played great!

Thanks to all that played, coached, and watched all the games.

Reminder that 1st-2nd Grade Tip-off Basketball Registration ends tonight at midnight! Sign-up quickly.

Season for Tip-off practice-games will start Nov 6th @ Queen of Angels gym.

Girls Practice Thursdays 3:30 pm - 4:40 pm

St. Peter Chanel Basketball - Roswell, GA

CMLA Championship Weekend is tomorrow at BT 10 am - 7 pm.

SPC has two teams representing 5B and 7G divisions.

As expected, the heavily favored 7G-Hernan/Eatz/Davis team will be looking for a 3-peat championship and remain undefeated for the past 5 years against a strong STM team. They start the day off with the first game at 10 am.

In a Cinderella run, the 5B-Macaluso team who were 5-4 in regular season and the 10th seed have come from behind the past two weeks to win in OT over two 8-1 teams. The most remarkable win was last Sunday as they scored 5 pts in 10 seconds to force OT and eventually win over an IHM team with some very non-sportsmanship like coaches (I think they got some Sam Robb Karma on that one!). They will battle another 8-1 IHM team at 4:15 pm.
