The harvest is picking up speed! Our first of the slicing tomatoes (reds and pinks with purple and yellow on the way) are rolling in, and they’re every bit as beautiful as they are delicious. Alongside them, our mixed cherry tomatoes are finally filling baskets with a colorful blend of sweet reds, yellows, purple, and oranges. Whether you’re slicing them thick for a BLT, tossing them into a salad, or eating cherry tomatoes by the handful on the drive home (we won’t judge 😄), tomato season has officially arrived.

Today also marked another big milestone: we started processing our garlic harvest! We have several thousand bulbs curing this year, and after today we’re only about 15-20% finished. Every bulb is trimmed, cleaned, and sorted by hand, so it’s a labor of love, but we can’t wait to have mountains of fresh garlic ready for your kitchens over the coming weeks and months.

We’ll have all of that available at the Jasper Farmers Market tomorrow from 11AM - 1PM, along with fresh lion’s mane mushrooms, cucumbers, sweet peppers, jalapeños, pasture-raised eggs, our regeneratively raised meats, and plenty of other farm favorites. Every week the tables get a little fuller as summer hits its stride.

If you’ve been waiting for local tomato season, now’s the time. Stop by, say hello, stock up on fresh produce, and help us make a small dent in those thousands of garlic bulbs waiting to be finished. We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow! 🌱🍅🧄

We honestly didn’t expect Breakfast Sausage to lose by that much. Over the years, we’ve heard again and again that we have the best sausage ever, but Ground Beef clearly had the stronger voting crowd and is moving on to face Bacon in the next round!

Now it’s time for another Pastured Meat matchup:

❤️ Heart this post for Pork Steaks
😮 Wow this post for Smoked Kielbasa

Pork steaks are rich, juicy, and perfect for grilling, smoking, slow cooking, or searing in a cast-iron skillet. They’re one of those underrated cuts that can surprise people the first time they try them.

Smoked Kielbasa, on the other hand, is easy, smoky, and packed with flavor. Slice it into potatoes, cabbage, pasta, soup, beans, or breakfast, or just heat it up and serve it as the centerpiece of a quick meal.

Vote with the correct reaction, then tell us in the comments which one you’d rather bring home from Riggin Farm. Will the pork steaks pull off the win, or will smoked kielbasa advance?

Help us crown The Ultimate Riggin Farm Product!

Tomorrow’s market tables are looking better every week! Fresh-picked produce, farm favorites, and a few specialty items will all be heading to the Jasper Farmers Market tomorrow (Saturday) from 7:30 AM-12:00 PM, and whatever doesn’t sell will be available at the Riggin Farm Store Friday and Sunday from 12:00-3:00 PM.

This week we’re bringing plenty of crisp cucumbers, the first beautiful slicing tomatoes of the season, sweet crystal onions, garlic, parsley, kale, lettuce, jalapeños, shish*to peppers, cherry tomatoes, Lion’s Mane mushrooms, fresh granola, jams, seasonings, and more. Our produce is grown without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides, and we’re proud to be Certified Naturally Grown.

If you’ve never tried Lion’s Mane mushrooms, this is a great week to grab some. They’re delicious sautéed until golden, fantastic in tacos, pasta, stir-fries, or “crab” cakes, and they’re one of our fastest-selling items. The tomatoes are just getting started too, and over the next couple of weeks we’ll have more red, pink, purple, yellow, and heirloom slicers than we know what to do with!

As always, thank you for supporting a small local family farm. Every purchase helps us continue growing healthy food right here in North Georgia. We can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow at the Jasper Farmers Market!
