We often desire to be a part of something, and we're disappointed when it doesn’t come together. The truth is, many of the people and places we wanted to be would’ve taken us off course. If we would’ve gotten what we wanted, God wouldn’t have gotten what He needed. Some of what we considered as mistreatment, denial, or even betrayal was permitted because staying on that road was becoming a threat to where we were headed. The Lord permitted Potiphar’s wife to lie on Joseph so he wouldn’t get stuck in a temporary assignment. Acceptance can cause derailment.
