Science, Engineering and Mathematics Link Inc
One encounter can change the trajectory of a teenโs life. ๐ฌ
We have seen it happen. At one of our career fairs, a middle school student met an engineer and the two worked through a hands-on STEM activity. That experience showed him he could be an engineer, and he went on to major in engineering in college.
For 20 years, we have been unveiling potential through exposure for teens. We send STEM professionals into classrooms and partner with out-of-school-time programs to bring STEM into their programming. We also host signature events like our Teen Science Cafรฉ, Engineering Design Challenge, and Tech Workshop for Teens, plus our STEM Journal Club cohorts that teach teens the skills to prepare for college and careers in STEM. ๐งชโ๏ธ
As we wrap up our 20th year, we need your support to keep this work going. ๐ฐ Invest in our $20K for 20 Years campaign before it closes next Friday, June 12th. Give generously at a level that fits your capacity, whether that is $20, $200, $2,000, or any multiple of $20 in between. ๐ต Every gift helps us reach more teens and inspire the next generation of STEM professionals.

However you give, you can also help by sharing this post and spreading the word about our campaign.
Out-of-school-time STEM programs give youth exposure to science, technology, engineering, and math in settings that complement what they experience in the classroom, allowing them to explore concepts in fresh and engaging ways. These programs help youth build curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking skills through hands-on, fun learning experiences. They also connect youth with STEM professionals who serve as role models and bring STEM to life beyond the textbook. ๐ฌโจ
In our 20 years of operation, SEM Link has delivered out-of-school-time programming that gives youth the chance to engage in hands-on STEM activities, explore STEM careers, and connect with the STEM community. And the benefits go both ways! It also gives STEM professionals who are passionate about outreach a chance to share their expertise with youth outside of their workday.

๐
Saturday, May 16, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
๐ Gladys S. Dennard Library at South Fulton
This is an opportunity for youth ages 8-13 to engage in STEM storytelling by creating their own graphic novel. ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ง๐พ๐ฆ๐ฟ๐ง๐ผ
Youth will learn how to blend science concepts with visual narrative, developing characters, plotting story arcs, and designing panels that bring STEM ideas to life. Give your young storyteller a creative space to imagine, illustrate, and bring their ideas to the page. ๐ฌ๐โ๏ธ
Parents/Caregivers can pre-register their youth via the link in our caption or bio, or bring them to the library and register the day of the event.
