LA Racing's Gabriel Carrasquillo readying for March Madness next weekend. Spent the day Saturday doing a little test and tune at the track. Despite all the pollen, Jamie Bennington did an excellent job prepping the track which produced some very encouraging numbers. Limited prep car clocked some great numbers and the open prep was in the ballpark. Looking forward to the big race and seeing our racing friends. See ya at the track!

As 2025 comes to a close, looking back, the year proved to be one of the most successful for LA Racing due to in large part from the support of Tom Rockwell. Thank you, Tom for all the support. Here's to 2026 and another year with the one of RC drag racing's winningest teams, Rockwell RC. See ya at the track!

LA Racings Armageddon 2025 Recap.
Well, didn't quite go as planned however LA Racing's Gabriel Carrasquillo did make some great accolades at the event and collected some more much needed data.
It was a good turnout for Gary Rowes RCRA - RC Racing Association Armageddon race. Another hot one with temps in low 90's and the starting line was a sizzling 135 at race time. The launch pad basically turned into a mud hole with all the prep transfer and made it tricky to avoid an expensive starting line mistake. For the most part everyone made it down with little difficulty.
Outlaw testing went well. Gabe figured out the course out quickly and after 3 passes, the big R1 Wurks power put us deep in the 4's, posting a 1.45 which was quickest for the weekend. Swapped to the "B" car and ran a 1.47 pass right out of the trailer. We were in the hunt! However, a distraction caused LA Racing to be late for Big Dawg sign up by 9 minutes and we were out of the competition.
We were in for the Renegade comp but had only made one test pass at the first light of testing posting a 1.85. Gabe now under pressure and in usual LA Racing fashion, came thru clicking the beams with a 1.7238 for a new Armageddon Renegade track record during a bye run! Then a rendezvous with the wall early on in "A" bracket against Hot Rod put us out but we were still going in "B" until we ran into Joshua Bennington who was a buzz saw this weekend with Paul Broadway tuning. We knew we were going to have swing for the fence but got a little too greedy and he put us on the trailer. Josh cleaned house winning both "A" and "B" brackets!
Another great event by Gary Rowe and his RCRA - RC Racing Association! Congrats to Zach Buff on his Big Dawg win! And a special congrats to, 13-year-old, Joshua Bennington on his winner/runner-up win! Awesome and well deserved. Way to go kid!
