Not a fan of laundry but I am a fan of procrastinating 😅
I tried to only use supplies that I already had! I had to get the piping, fabric, and extra staples but luckily I had plenty of scrap wood and even snagged the batting when JoAnn's was on its deathbed (RIP 🕊️)
I just used Lbrackets for this but if I were to do this again, I would explore using a French cleat instead

If I can do it, you can to!! I started the home library in 2022 and finished phase 2 in the fall of 2024. Home 👏 takes 👏 time 👏
Demo was February 2022
Cabinet boxes was summer 2022
"Finished" early fall 2022
Added fireplace by November 2022
Late summer 2024 I added double doors, changed the baseboards, and painted the ceiling
It's one of my favorite rooms in this house and there is still more I want to do to it 😅 I'm not ready to start phase 3 but I'm definitely thinking about it...
Thinking about adding cabinet doors to all the lowers to hide board games and functional items that we don't want displayed. I'm thinking of painting the fireplace darker, removing the fluting to replace it with something whimsical like painting flowers or 3D mud flowers. I'm thinking of hiding a bar shelf behind the mirror, adding shelf lighting, and applying bead board to the backs of the shelves
The room is done... but also I'm a designer and can't help but to think of ways to make it more functional and more beautiful
