Just another reason why the church must send its members, why they must help each one discover their Ephesians 2:10 "good works" God prepared in advance for each of them, why they must then "equip them to do the work of the ministry" Ephesians 4:12. This is the great failure of the church age we're living in. Disciples, followers of Jesus, make disciples. If your people aren't making disciples among the lost, Matthew 28:18-20, are they really disciples? If you're not sending your people, are you really shepherds? Bottom line, people who love God love the things God loves, namely the poor, the widow, the orphan, the foreigner living in the land and the lost. How are you doing on that front?

8. When you send, your people they get to experience the deep and transformative fellowship of Christ to the extent they can in the here and now. Paul said it best in Philippians 3:10-11 I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, 11 and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.

If you're in leadership circles, you may have noticed something in recent years. There's been a proliferation of church growth or planting strategies all claiming/promising this process or this system will get the job done.
Do we really think there's anything new under the sun? Don't be deceived. Assuming you're not just looking to keep the lights on and run a successful "business"....If you want to grow your church the old fashioned way...through conversions and not transfers, there's only ever been one way.
Romans 10:14-15 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 AND HOW CAN ANYONE PREACH UNLESS THEY ARE SENT? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”
If you don't intentionally and effectively "send" your people (Matt. 9:35-10:1) to fulfill the "good works" God designed for them long ago (Eph. 2:10) you're stopping short. Our course helps church leaders set their members up for success. It takes them through a biblical process that:
