Airweb is sharing a job opportunity for Kronos Utility, Inc., which is looking for a drone pilot in Peachtree Corners, GA to support autonomous drone operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
💰 Pay: $80,000 - $120,000 (based on experience) including health insurance
📅 Position Type: Full-Time (On-Site)
Scope:
* Operate and maintain autonomous drone systems (DJI, Skydio, Autel, etc.).
* Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate UAVs for optimal performance.
* Conduct inspections, system updates, and software/hardware optimizations.
* Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and safety protocols.
* Collect and analyze flight data to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to deploy drone solutions.
* Stay updated on UAV technology, software advancements, and regulations.
* No editing required, just deliver unedited content same day.
Requirements:
* FAA Part 107 Certification (Required).
* Experience operating DJI, Skydio, Autel, and other commercial drones.
* Proficiency with flight planning software and automation tools.
* Knowledge of drone sensor payloads (LiDAR, thermal, multispectral) is a plus.
* Familiarity with data processing software (Pix4D, DroneDeploy, etc.).
* Strong troubleshooting skills for drone hardware and software.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Comfortable working outdoors as needed.
* Anticipate flying multiple batteries for this role.

Check out this Gaussian Splat created during the construction of the Mayfair sign in New Braunfels, TX! 🚀
This was a test splat generated from just one drone orbit around the sign 🤯 For the final version, we’ll include more orbits at closer distances, capturing video between cloud coverage to avoid shadows in the render.
We’re also planning day and night video captures to create a transition experience. Once processed, both splats will be refined to isolate the sign, creating a standalone, interactive feature for our client’s website.
Why it’s cool:
🔹 Future customers can explore the real sign (not a 3D render) from all angles, with 100% control over perspective.
🔹 Toggle between day and night views to see the sign in all its glory—with the lights turned on!
