I photographed this dog in Charleston many years ago always with the intention of painting him one day. Happy to learn that he is a hunting breed!

“The Clumber Spaniel, the largest of the spaniel breeds, was developed in 18th-century England, primarily at Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire, the estate of the Duke of Newcastle. Known as a “gentleman’s gundog,” it was designed for hunting in heavy cover.”
