I almost quit being a therapist.
Not quietly, either. I seriously considered a full career change.
I told myself maybe I had outgrown it.
Maybe it wasn’t for me anymore.
But the truth?
I was burned out, and I didn’t recognize it for what it was.
I wasn’t tired of the work, I was exhausted from how I was doing the work.
Holding too much.
Pushing too hard.
Not giving myself space to reset.
Stepping back changed everything.
Now, I feel more energized.
More present.
More connected to my clients and to myself.
And interestingly, I feel like I’ve reached a new level in my clinical skill because of it.
A level I probably wouldn’t have discovered if I had walked away.
Sometimes it’s not about leaving the thing you love.
It’s about learning how to return to it differently.
If you’re thinking about quitting right now, ask yourself:
Do you actually want to stop or are you just tired?

A healthy relationship is not built on fixing each other or filling empty spaces; but on two whole people choosing to grow, heal, and show up with intention every single day.
When you take responsibility for your own emotional health, your communication, your boundaries, and your self awareness- you naturally create a space where love feels safe, steady, and real instead of chaotic or draining.

“Without community, there is no liberation... but community must not mean a shedding of our differences, nor the pathetic pretense that these differences do not exist.” - Audre Lorde
What would I do without my tribe? I’m so grateful to be surrounded by these amazing women I get to call my friends.

Too often, we stretch ourselves thin trying to be everything for everyone—showing up, supporting, fixing, and giving. But the truth is, you can’t be the best for others until you’re the best for yourself.
Prioritize your well-being. Set boundaries. Pour into yourself first. 💛
