THE FRANKLINTON "TIME CAPSULE" OF NEGLECT

Let’s keep it 100, .
I’ve been watching the "Old Guard" and their little "cleanup crew" out there trying to look busy. It is truly hilarious to see people find their work ethic the minute I start bringing the receipts. But let’s talk about the math, because the math is mathing in all the wrong ways.
I haven't played in a park in this town since I was eight years old. We aren’t talking about 20 years of stagnant growth; we are talking about FORTY YEARS of intentional decay.

This is the Franklinton "Experience" they want you to stay quiet about:
The "Fair" Illusion: They can manage to keep the Washington Parish Free Fair running for a few days, but they can't manage to keep a Little League game free for our kids? They can host a Mardi Gras parade once a year, but they can't host a stable job market for our parents?

The "Job" Gatekeeping: Let’s talk about the Courthouse and the Hospital. We all know the deal. If you aren't "approved" by the select few, if you aren't in the "inner circle," your resume is going straight to the shredder. Unless you’re flipping burgers at Sonic, McDonald’s, or Burger King, you better have a car to drive to Covington—because if you don’t have wheels, you’re just a modern-day slave to a system that refuses to let you earn a living wage where you live.

The Poverty Trap: They love the fact that you have to know "somebody" just to get a decent paycheck. That’s not a local economy; that’s a plantation mindset wrapped in a "small town charm" bow.

To the "Gatekeepers" like town officials and religious leaders and the crew:
You’ve had four decades to build a pool. You’ve had forty years to build a playground. You’ve had a lifetime to bring in housing. Instead, you’ve sat on your hands until a Black woman showed up with a $16.1M plan and a DOJ complaint. Now, all of a sudden, you’re "revitalizing"?
Sweetheart, we see the panic. You’re not revitalizing the land; you’re trying to bury the evidence of your 40-year failure.

TO THE PEOPLE: If you’re tired of having nothing to look forward to but a funnel cake in October while you struggle to pay rent in April—SHARE THIS. They want to keep you in the dark, but I’m here with the floodlights. The "Old Practices" are done. We are bringing the jobs, the houses, and the future—whether the "Approved Circle" likes it or not.
