While I had everything apart, I went ahead and rebuilt and cleaned the entire under-dash HVAC box and freshened up the firewall. Doing it right the first time makes all the difference — better airflow, better heat, and no more coolant smell in the cab.

If your classic or daily driver has weak heat, foggy windows, or a sweet coolant smell, it might be time for a new heater core and a good under-dash cleanup.
