My Custom 6mm ARC Build 🔥 This is one of my favorite AR builds to date, and it turned out exactly the way I envisioned. The foundation starts with an LMT MARS complete lower, paired with a Sons of Liberty Gun Works M89 upper and a 15-inch Midwest Industries handguard. At the heart of the rifle is a custom McGowan Precision 22-inch 416R stainless steel barrel chambered in 6mm ARC. It features a straight taper bull profile, 1:7.5 twist, .936 gas journal, custom gas port, 11-degree target crown, and 5/8x24 muzzle threads. One of the most unique parts of this build is the gas system. Instead of using an off-the-shelf gas tube, I had White Oak Armament build me a custom 15.74-inch gas tube specifically for this rifle. Combined with a Superlative Arms adjustable gas block, it gives me the ability to fine-tune the rifle for smooth, reliable cycling and optimal performance. The rifle also features a TriggerTech Diamond trigger set at just over 2 pounds, an Arken EP-5 Gen II 7-35x56 with the TOR MIL reticle mounted in an Area 419 one-piece 20 MOA cantilever mount, a 360 Precision heavy ARCA rail, a B5 stock, and an ATI pistol grip. One thing I wanted more than anything was perfect balance. Even with a heavy 22-inch bull barrel and full-size optic, this rifle balances almost effortlessly. It doesn’t feel front-heavy, making it incredibly comfortable whether I’m shooting from a bipod, tripod, barricade, or prone. Copper Creek Load Development #2 is looking promising! 🔥🎯. 111 was felt like temp with humidity. ☀️ 🔥 Took my .300 Norma Magnum back to the range today to test Copper Creek Cartridge Company’s Load Development Pack #2 (Red), and I’m impressed with the early results. 🔴 Cold bore, clean barrel For a heavy 250gr A-Tip in a .300 Norma, that’s a great starting point. Now it’s time to stretch this load out to distance and see how it performs where it really matters. Huge thanks to Copper Creek Cartridge Company for putting together these load development packs.
