To all refugees, displaced people, exiles, and immigrants: I see you.

The pain of leaving home and trying to build a new life in another country is a grief that only those who have lived it can truly understand. It is the loss of language, familiarity, belonging, and often the loss of the people and places that once made us who we are. There is no easy comparison for it.

Many of you begin again below zero. You arrive carrying memories, responsibilities, fear, and hope all at once. You work twice as hard just to reach the same starting line. You learn new systems, new languages, new rules, and somehow still find the strength to care for your families, support your communities, and dream again.

And yet, so many of you are not only surviving, you are thriving. You are building businesses, raising children, creating art, serving your communities, and proving every day that resilience is stronger than displacement.

Be proud of yourself.

You are brave. You are resilient. Your journey matters, your sacrifices matter, and your presence enriches the places you now call home.

I see you. And you are not alone.
