“Lots of talk about mermaids 🧜🏻‍♀️ 🧜🏾‍♀️ lately! Let me tell you about one you may or may not know.

For Lex’s birthday last month, Mermaid Sparkles of Moonstone Mermaids fame joined us at the Arkansas Valley Pool for what may have been the most epic 4th birthday 🎁 party this town has ever seen.

As soon as Sparkles’s pirate 🏴‍☠️ helper brought her in, the kids were BEGGING her to dive into the pool 🏊‍♀️ with them. And once she was in, they lined up like little ducks 🦆 who followed her every move. So many times we heard mesmerized kids yelling, “Mom! Mom! Her eyes are really open under water! She really does breathe underwater, you can tell! She’s the real thing!”

Don’t let the older boys 💪 fool you, either. They were just as excited as all the little ones to have a close encounter with magic. They went on shell 🐚 rides across the pool, heard mermaid tales, dove for treasure from a real treasure chest, and tried to emulate her fin as she swam 🐠. Lex pretends to be Mermaid Sparkles every night in the bathtub 🛁 now!

If you have a lucky 🍀 summer baby 👶, do yourselves a favor and have a pool party. Then invite the magic—she is literally all you need. (Well, maybe first make sure you have some cupcakes 🧁 and pizza 🍕 too.) Mermaid Sparkles, thank you for the most magical evening ever. We love you!!“
