California man agrees to plead guilty to acting as Beijing's agent A California man has agreed to plead guilty to acting as an illegal agent for the Chinese government in Southern California while working as a campaign advisor to for a local politician.

Though we fell short in this election, the past three months have been an incredible journey filled with new connections and meaningful conversations.

After the election, I congratulated Paul Cheng, and he kindly replied.

I’m proud that my campaign brought awareness to important issues, inspired conversations, and helped bring attention to local matters that impact our daily lives, from taxes to public safety and community services.

I encourage everyone to stay informed and involved by attending City Council meetings and engaging in local issues.

Arcadia is a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family, and it’s our shared responsibility to keep it that way.

I’m very grateful for the residents I had the chance to meet while going door to door.

A special thanks to my wife, my daughters, and my mom and all those who supported my campaign.

Please help us wrap up by picking up and recycling any yard signs you see out there.

As for me, I’m excited to keep serving in our community. I’ll soon be planning the Lunar New Year Festival and will continue to serve on the Arcadia Education Foundation and PTSA. With events like the Rose Parade, the Olympics, and the World Cup on the horizon, there’s so much to look forward to.

I’ll also continue advocating for solutions to homelessness and supporting local businesses that bring vitality to our city.

Running for City Council has been a true privilege, and while this chapter closes, my commitment to Arcadia remains strong.

Today, I voted at the Arcadia Public Library, and while waiting, I met Pete—a Korean War veteran standing in line behind me. I asked him to cut ahead as a small way to show my appreciation for his service. Meeting Pete was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by so many for our country. Don’t forget to make your voice heard today, Arcadia! Every vote counts!

This used to be playground equipment at Longley Way. We think it was installed when Longley was first built and then removed when the garden was uninstalled years ago. It sure makes a nice display for my yard signs!
