Have you ever sent an email that had the potential to change your life?

A few weeks ago, I found myself doing exactly that.
I didn’t know anyone in Highlands, North Carolina. I had one friend who shared a little about the community and a few places she thought might be a good fit, but other than that...no one.

What I did know was that Highlands would be the first stop on this 38-day road trip exploring one question:
What does it mean to live a life you love waking up to every day?

So I sent an email.
Then another.
Then another.

Reaching out to people I thought might be open to a conversation, curious about the project, or willing to host a sound experience for their community.
Ashby, the owner of , wrote back, and before I knew it we were having one of those conversations that just flows.

There was so much ease, so many parallels in our journeys, and such a shared belief that when people are given the space to slow down and reconnect with themselves, beautiful things happen. By the end of our conversation, it didn’t just feel like someone had agreed to host a sound bath. It felt like two people saying yes to creating something meaningful together.

I love the possibility that one invitation for a conversation can become so much more.
