Vienna popped up in our FareSignals newsletter, and it sent us straight into a grand-palace, coffee-house, Christmas-market kind of daydream 🇦🇹

Austria's capital is imperial architecture on every corner, pastry shops with 200 years of history, and waltzes you can almost hear on the breeze. A few fun facts about Vienna:

◾ St. Stephen's Cathedral has been a Vienna landmark since 1147, and its roof is covered in 230,000 glazed tiles forming the Habsburg double-headed eagle.

◾ Schönbrunn Palace was the Habsburgs' summer residence and has 1,441 rooms. The zoo in its gardens has been open since 1752, making it the oldest in the world.

◾ Viennese coffee house culture is UNESCO-recognized, and your coffee always comes on a silver tray with a glass of water.

◾ The Christkindlmarkt in front of the Rathaus draws millions every winter, with a giant tree gifted each year by a different province.
