Trust the product and trust the process.. Chicken Fried BBQ throwing down the brisket wrap on all briskets. Results are proven across many pitmasters.

It all has become real since that email came in this morning. So many people and bbq mentors to thank. Now the planning starts and hopefully we can make it happen.

Cooked in the backyard yesterday. Needless to say the cook went smooth. Judges did what judges do and we ended up hearing our song a few times.
11th chicken
5th Rib
8th Pork
2nd Brisket
Landing us 3rd overall.

Congrats to all others that had the hype of hearing their songs.

Yesterday is in the books.. For me the cook was good, brisket ended up getting tight and not sure why but it is what it is and we pack up and move on to the next one in a couple weeks… BUT the saving grace of the day was the girls, they both showed up and cooked a solid cook. Results shown below…

This week we’re in West Columbia. Let’s get it…

Some look at this rib box and can tare it apart, believe me this isn’t my best work. But in competition bbq you have time lines and when those time lines are thrown off by your pop up tent collapsing due to a strong wind gust, you do what you gotta to make that turn in time. Still placed decent out of 50 teams with 19th. Sometimes you just have to send to make that turn in time.
