Since making this observation in 2019, Anderson has further suffered from more than two years of Biden’s high prices for gas and groceries, as Tom Broderick rolled out the welcome mat for crime, drugs, and vagrancy.
Anderson’s city council insisted on raising our taxes and our utility rates, then voted themselves pay raises. It was the city workforce who were the only ones paid for COVID, as wages for everybody else failed to keep up with the rate of inflation.
This is no way to grow a city.
There is an Anderson city election on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. I’m running for mayor because Anderson’s economic climate is ripe for immediate growth with a Republican mayor. The past four years, employers brought $10 billion in new high-tech and industrial investment and 7,600 new jobs to central Indiana to cities with Republican mayors. Anderson got nothing under Democrat Mayor Tom Broderick.

The data doesn't lie. Under democrat leadership, Anderson continues to miss out on new job opportunities. The Republican party controls our entire state government, including the IEDC, Indiana Economic Development Corporation. All new sources of industrial and high-tech investment are being routed only to cities with Republican mayors.
In the last 4 years, Anderson has missed out on more than $10 Billion in new investment, only because residents foolishly reelected Thomas Broderick. The Data doesn't lie. A few short weeks ago, Terre Haute announced a $1.5 Billion electric vehicle battery component plant with 650 new high-paying jobs. Not surprising, Terre Haute has a Republican mayor.
