Day 2 at Snow Farms is in the books! We started the day with a visit from Cody and then preparing for our saggar fire by prepping our pots with various organic materials wrapped up in foil. Lighting the saggar is always exciting with the promise of new pots tomorrow morning. Then we moved on to Raku firing, of which we were able to finish 2. I fired 2 cats, one glazed and the other had terra sigillata painted in lines on it to give a black matte/black glossy look. Everyone got some beautiful pots out of the firings and I think we were all pleased. Tomorrow morning we open the saggar and spend the rest of the day firing our work in the gas kiln. I’m truly excited to see everyone’s pieces in the next 2 days! #blackcatspottery #pottery #pottersofinstagram #throwlikeagirl #ceramics
