Had a few days back now to process everything. The 100K mtb with by was the best and hardest bike race I’ve ever done. Theres absolutely zero chance I would have been able to achieve this goal of finishing without the support of my Wife. Every single mile had something different, from mud puddles and rain to flint rock and ledges. This course was roughly 61 miles with over 6k climbing it had a little bit of everything. I was shuffled pretty far back at the start and knew I had to keep a slow start pace to finish strong. I was able to pass a couple dozen people about halfway through and ended up about 66 percentile so not terrible for my first “endurance” XC event all things considered. came in clutch with these Schwalbe tires and I had zero mechanicals. Ready to grow from here this is just the beginning.
