Another wall going up. The far left opening is the door from the garage to the mud room, middle window is above kitchen sink and the window to the right is where our nook for a table and chairs between the kitchen and living room.

Before our house was demolished we went through to salvage what we could. Especially mementos but I found this jar of dried basil I grew in my garden in the kitchen cabinet. I saved it. I miss having an herb garden. The perennial herbs I had were in landscaping along the house and destroyed. I’m looking forward to creating my edible landscaping around the new house. Growing an herb garden and harvesting cost next to nothing once you’ve planted them. You can have more than enough dried herbs for cooking throughout the year and even share with friends and family. I highly recommend doing this as it cuts down on the grocery bill
