With all the large bait, heavy line and big rods options available today, this has turned out to be my number one Musky setup; a St. Croix ES63MXF spinning rod with P-Line 6 # CXX line and an 1/8 jig, go figure!! Whether on LOTW or on Lake Geneva, it just shows that a quality rod, reel and fishing line can make all the difference. But I guess this also shows, I should probably buy a bigger net.....

Every year on Lake Geneva I am always amazed with the 50-degree water temperature mark, it is like a light switch, as the lake simply comes to life once the water hits 50 degrees! A week ago, the water temperature was 47 degrees and there were very few quality targets to see on the sonar. Out on water today testing AT2 compared to AT2XL, as to which is easier to see a 1/32 jig. Found part of the lake at about 52 degrees, while other areas just below 50 degrees, but the switch has been turned on!!
