This kid is 20 years old and ruined his life because of a DUI. This is why we do it.

Every day, people ask why I post DUI arrests or tell me I should take those posts down because there are “more serious crimes.”

This is exactly why.

A DUI is not “just a DUI.” One bad decision can destroy lives forever. In this case, the driver was allegedly behind the wheel with a revoked license from a previous DUI and is now accused of causing a crash that took someone’s life.

Too many people treat drinking and driving like it’s no big deal—until someone doesn’t make it home. The embarrassment of having a DUI arrest photo posted online is nothing compared to the pain a family experiences when they lose a loved one.

At 20 years old, this young man allegedly made a decision that not only changed his own future forever but also took away someone else’s. What may have started as a night of having a good time ended in tragedy, leaving families on both sides to live with the consequences.

If sharing these cases makes even one person think twice before getting behind the wheel after drinking, then it’s worth posting. A ride home costs far less than a life, a prison sentence, or a lifetime of regret.

One choice can change everything not only for you, but for innocent people who never asked to be part of that decision
