Do you workout while on vacation? Why or why not? I'd love to hear your thoughts. On my latest vacation I went for a 5 mile run since I was on my half marathon training plan and didn't want to miss a run. 3 weeks down...9 to go!

Week 1 of half marathon training in the bag! Total distance ran = 16 miles

Lessons from the week.

1) Start off easy, especially if it's been awhile since you've ran

2) It's interesting to see where your mind goes or focuses when you run (am I the only one thinking crazy things when I run?)

3) Wake up before this sun or it will eat you alive!

4) Sleep...always more sleep.

5) Running in your neighborhood or those around your area gives you a chance to check out the local real estate

6) Be proud of yourself! Make the commitment and just do it!
