This is one of my favorite pieces I’ve ever done. It took a stupid amount of time to get it right, but I love it.
I love how cutesy this turned out. I totally need to make more Sanderson sisters pieces. I did decide to nix the writing that you see in the original drawing. It just didn’t look right once it started getting paint.
(Weird noise you hear in the background is husband killing some kind of monsters or something — his man cave, more loft than cave, is the room next door)

Witch, please!
I tried adding some pigment to the texture paste mixture. I thought it might work almost as a primer for the paint itself, so it would have better/easier coverage. Not entirely successful, but it didn’t hinder anything, so it’s all good.

My happy place! My art set up. It’s not the prettiest, not the fanciest, and in no way instagram or Pinterest worthy. But it’s mine, it’s (mostly) organized, and it works for me.
Canvasses on the easel ready to rock. I’ve been focusing more on digital work lately, but I feel the itch to get paint on my hands again.
And I’m trying to find a good way to upcycle those fan blades (lower right corner-ish). Let me know if you have any ideas!
