Marley Dias is the 14-year-old founder of , an international movement to collect and distribute children’s books that feature Black girls as the lead character. Since November 2015, Marley has collected over 12,000 books, spoken in settings from the White House to the United Nations Girls Up and is the youngest member of the Forbes 30 Under 30 List. In 2017, Marley was a keynote speaker here in NM at “Investing in a Society of SuperGirls” hosted by the NM Scholars Strategy Network, where we were honored to meet her and present our research. She is an inspiration—shifting narratives and amplifying representation for young women of color.
This Women’s History Month, our campaign seeks to uplift the powerful work of self-identifying young women and girls of color making history—the future of gender justice and healing!
