If you are a Democrat, you can vote for our representatives to the Party's Alameda County Central Committee this election. We get to vote for seven. Although hardly known, the makeup of the Central Committee matters. It endorses candidates and measures, supports those it does by organizing mailers and canvassing, and takes other actions.

Dyana Marie Delfín Polk (Peralta Community College Trustee)
James Chang (Legislative aide)

The election is by plurality at large. The worst method because it suppresses diversity. Ironic because the Party's own platform opposes its use (https://cadem.org/issues/political-reform/). If elected, these candidates will work to change the election to proportional ranked choice voting. The fairest method.
